Project Description: The St. Elizabeth Medical Center Emergency Department Addition & Renovations project consists of 20,000 square feet of addition and 22,000 square feet of renovation to the existing medical facility.

 

This project relocated and replaced the existing Emergency Department which allowed the existing Emergency Department to remain fully operational and resulted in a new state-of-the-art facility.  The new Emergency Department is organized into Acute and Sub-Acute Units.

 

The Acute Unit contains 9 patient rooms, 1 isolated patient room & decon area, 2 trauma rooms, 2 resuscitation rooms, 1 radiology room, 1 triage room, nurses station, EMS office, utility rooms & restrooms.

 

The Sub-Acute Unit contains 5 exam rooms, decon room, 7 patient rooms, suture room, triage room, reception & nurses stations, waiting rooms, utility rooms and restrooms.

 

This project was done in conjunction with the Dietary Department expansion project.
